Finding a Good Icelandic Horse |
We look for Icelandic horses with easy clear gaits and good character that we feel will be accessible horses for the American pleasure rider. Selecting trained Icelandic horses in Iceland, we import them to our farm and further their training to American standards. Prairie Garden Farm guarantees the horses for suitability. |

Breeding Farm |
Our Prairie Garden Farm breeds Icelandic horses with the stud farm name "fra Slettunni". "Icelandics fra Slettunni" means "Icelandics from the prairie". At stud we stand the first class stallion, Sorli fra Bulandi, who is available to pure-bred Icelandic mares. |
About the Hamiltons |
We are active horse people and have been involved directly with Icelandic horses for fifteen years. Prairie Garden Farm keeps Icelandic horses of superb temperament for use in pleasure riding, breeding, show, and trail riding. We offer riding lessons and trail riding opportunities on our Icelandic horses as well. |
